How ready is your business to make money from AI?

This free AI readiness assessment scores your business out of 100 across six dimensions — demand, conversion, AI in the workflow, team capability, data and ownership. Twelve questions, one click each. You get your score, your band and the two specific gaps to fix first, on screen, without giving an email address.

  • No email needed to see your result
  • Scored on your device — nothing is sent anywhere
  • Names the two gaps to fix first, in order

Question 1 of 12

If you switched off paid advertising tomorrow, what happens to your pipeline?

Answer honestly — the score is only useful if it is. Nothing is sent anywhere; the result is worked out on your device.

02 · What it measures

Six dimensions, weighted equally.

Readiness is not about which AI tools you have bought. It is about whether the business around them can turn AI into revenue. These are the six things that decide it.

  • 01

    Demand engine

Whether new demand arrives because you own a system that produces it, or because you are currently paying for it.

If it scores low. Build one owned acquisition channel that keeps producing after the ad spend stops.

  • 02

    Qualify & convert

Whether interest reliably becomes pipeline — shared lead definitions, scoring, routing and a follow-up standard both teams signed off on.

If it scores low. Agree one definition of a qualified lead, then automate scoring, routing and first follow-up against it.

  • 03

    AI in the workflow

Whether AI is running inside the work your team does every day, or sitting in licences nobody opens.

If it scores low. Put AI inside one workflow people already use daily, and ship it before adding a second.

  • 04

    Team capability

Whether the ability to run AI is held by the organisation or by one enthusiastic individual.

If it scores low. Run role-specific training and name internal champions, so the capability survives any one person leaving.

  • 05

    Data & measurement

Whether you can connect commercial activity to closed revenue without an argument, and whether the data sits in one place.

If it scores low. Consolidate pipeline data into one source of truth before automating anything on top of it.

  • 06

    Ownership & leadership

Whether a senior person is accountable for the growth number against a written plan, reviewed on a cadence.

If it scores low. Put a senior operator on the number with the authority to change strategy, not just report on it.

03 · How it is scored

Four bands. No flattery in any of them.

Each of the 12 questions scores 0 to 3, for a maximum of 36 points, reported as a percentage. Two questions per dimension, so every dimension carries the same weight.

AI readiness score bands and what each one means
ScoreBandWhat it means
034%ExposedYour growth is rented, and the lease is short.Almost everything producing revenue right now depends on spend you are currently making or people you personally know. Nothing compounds, so every quarter starts near zero. This is the most common score for a business that has grown on founder energy and is now hitting the ceiling of it — and it is fixable faster than most owners expect, because there is no legacy system to unpick.
3554%FragmentedThe parts exist. The system doesn't.You have real pieces in place — a channel that works, a CRM, maybe a tool or two — but they are not wired to each other, so effort leaks between them. The usual symptom is that growth feels like it takes proportionally more work every quarter. The gain here comes from connection, not from buying anything new.
5574%BuildingThe engine runs. It is not near full power. You can generate demand on purpose and you can mostly see what is working. What is holding you back is depth rather than direction — capability concentrated in a few people, AI used in patches, and a plan reviewed less often than it should be. Businesses at this score usually get more from deepening what exists than from starting anything new.
75100%CompoundingYou are ahead of most of the mid-market.Demand is owned, conversion is systematic, and AI is doing real work inside the business rather than sitting in licences. At this level the remaining upside is in the last mile: the one dimension scoring below the rest, and the speed at which new systems reach production. The risk is not stalling — it is getting comfortable.
04 · The questions

All twelve, before you start.

Nothing is hidden and nothing is a trick. Each question has four answers, ordered from the worst case to the best.

  1. 01

If you switched off paid advertising tomorrow, what happens to your pipeline?

It stops within a month · Most of our pipeline already comes from channels we own

  2. 02

Can you turn new demand up on purpose when you need it?

No — we take what comes · Yes — we have owned channels we can dial up

  3. 03

When marketing hands a lead to sales, what actually happens?

Sales says most of them are junk · Scored, routed and followed up against an agreed standard

  4. 04

How much of qualification and first follow-up is automated?

None — it is all manual · Qualification, routing and first response run on their own

  5. 05

Where does AI sit in your commercial workflow today?

Nowhere yet · Inside the workflows the team already uses, every day

  6. 06

When you last brought AI into the business, what came out of it?

Nothing shipped · Systems running in production that we operate ourselves

  7. 07

Has your team been trained to use AI for their specific roles?

No · Role-specific training with named internal champions

  8. 08

If your strongest AI user left tomorrow, what would happen?

The capability leaves with them · It is documented and several people already run it

  9. 09

Can you say which activity produced last quarter's revenue?

No — we argue about it · Yes — reported, agreed and reviewed monthly

  10. 10

Where does your customer and pipeline data actually live?

Spreadsheets and people's inboxes · One clean source of truth the whole team works from

  11. 11

Who owns the growth number in your business?

Nobody, really · A senior leader accountable to a written plan

  12. 12

How often is the growth plan reviewed against actual numbers?

There is no written plan · Monthly, against a written plan with named owners

05 · Questions

Questions we’re asked.

01
What is an AI readiness assessment?
An AI readiness assessment scores how prepared a business is to get commercial return from AI — not whether it has bought AI tools, but whether it has the demand engine, data, workflows, team capability and leadership accountability for AI to actually move revenue. Brand Vibe's assessment scores twelve questions across six dimensions and returns a percentage, a band and a ranked list of the weakest areas.
02
How long does the assessment take?
About two minutes. There are twelve questions, each answered with a single click, and the score appears immediately when you finish.
03
Do I have to give my email to see my score?
No. The score, the band, the full six-dimension breakdown and the recommended next steps all appear on screen straight away. An email address is only needed if you want the longer written diagnostic sent to you.
04
How is the score calculated?
Each of the twelve questions is scored from 0 to 3, giving a maximum of 36 points, which is reported as a percentage. The twelve questions are grouped into six dimensions of two questions each, so every dimension carries equal weight and is scored separately as well.
05
Is the assessment free?
Yes, entirely. It runs in your browser, nothing is charged, and no payment details are requested at any point.
06
What happens after I get my score?
The result names your two weakest dimensions and the specific move to make in each, with a link to the relevant service. If you want a senior view on your particular situation, you can book a free 45-minute growth audit — but there is no obligation and the assessment is useful on its own.
06 · After the score

A score tells you where you stand. A conversation tells you what to do about it.

If your result surprised you — in either direction — the growth audit is forty-five minutes with a senior consultant on your specific numbers. Free, no obligation, and you leave with a written view whether or not you engage us.
